GdA Primo  

Il Primo

The first item designed and crafted by Giancarlo De Astis completed in early 2002 and therefore named Il Primo, or 'the first' in Italian; intended as a functional executive-level office desk that has become the signature piece
of the Studio.
The design objective was for the legs not to detract from the aerodynamic lines and profile of the component and thus create support for a working surface that gave a visual sense of motion and 'lift' to the desk.
Made with the inboard flap of a Fairchild C119, its approximate gross dimensions are 31" high x 70" long x 52" deep; shown here in mahogany wood, medium stain, decorative aluminum rivets and trim. Glass top is an ultra clear tempered 3/8" starfire.

AC and Ethernet/Wi-Fi connections can be integrated as well as drawers or laptop slots.

Latro Primo

Designed to replace the mainstay Il Primo, Latro, meaning 'the other' in Italian, is intended for the executive or medium office.
Made with a rear horizontal stabilizer of a Beechcraft 18/C45, its approximate gross dimensions are 31" high x 60" long x 38" deep; shown here in mahogany wood, medium stain, decorative aluminum rivets and trim. Glass top is an ultra clear tempered 3/8" starfire.

AC and Ethernet/Wi-Fi connections can be integrated as well as drawers or laptop slots.

Il Piccolo Primo

Follows the lines of big brother Primo, intended for the home or small office.
Made with a wing flap of a North American T28 Trojan, its approximate gross dimensions are 31" high x 66" long x 36" deep; shown here in mahogany wood, medium stain, decorative aluminum rivets and trim. Glass top is an ultra clear tempered 3/8" starfire.
AC and Ethernet/Wi-Fi connections can be integrated as well as drawers or laptop slots.

La Fortuna

Intended for the Chairperson, Fortuna is top of the line and most elegant of all. 
Made with a wing tip of a Grumman OV-1 Mohawk, its approximate gross dimensions are 31" high x 80" long x 56" deep at its wides side; shown here in anegre and alder woods, clear stain, decorative steel bracket. Glass top is a beveled, tempered 3/8".

AC and Ethernet/Wi-Fi connections can be integrated.

Designed for the draftsman or those wanting something a little higher than the standard desk.

Sleek and fast, Rondine is a medium sized desk for those that are a bit sporty.
Made with a rear horizontal stabilizer of a US Navy A7 Corsair, its approximate gross dimensions are 31" high x 68" long x 55" deep at its widest side.
