Lo Squalo
|
The
name of Lo Squalo
,
'The Shark' in Italian, is derived from the outline shape of the
scoop's open
intake, reminiscent of a shark's mouth ready to strike. Intended to be
placed
as a pair in front of a desk, or around a center table, for visitors in
an executive-level office.
Currently in it's third design version.
Made from a DC6/7 prop engine air cooling scoop, the design objective
was to make
a connection between the aerodynamic outline features of the scoop with
the
organic outline of one of the most aerodynamic fish in the sea- the
shark.
Approximate gross dimensions: 38" wide x 40" deep x 46" high.
